One of the most popular cycling routes for (pleasure) cyclists and families is the Adige Cycle Route along the ancient Roman trade route Via Claudia Augusta. It directly passes the Kesslwirt, connecting the section from the Reschen Pass to the spa town of Merano. So it's up to you. Maybe you prefer to cycle towards the tower in the lake – the postcard motif in Val Venosta/Vinschgau par excellence – or perhaps head for the lively, Mediterranean-Alpine town on the Passer. Whatever you do, it’ll be worthwhile!
Small tip: If you are interested in the entire route, but you do not want to do the whole thing by bike, then get on the Vinschgerbahn at any of the stations. You can deposit your bike there in one of the designated wagons and appreciate the landscape from a different perspective. Cycling has never been so easy and relaxed …
