All those who are not necessarily water rats can really let off steam and push their boundaries in the nearby Schnalstal, or more precisely the Ötzi Rope Park. The high ropes course at the Vernagter reservoir is open between mid-April and the end of October and always enthuses young and old.

For winter freaks, the Kesslwirt is also open in winter, right through to 6 January. So get your skis out of the cellar and look forward to the nearby Alpin Arena Schnals ski area between the head of the valley and the glacier (which is only about 45 minutes by car from us) or the two-country ski arena, which is a magnet for skiers with 211 kilometres of ski slopes and 6 ski areas. Push your boundaries when skiing and even explore the eternal ice not far from the hotel and discover the "home" of Ötzi.
